Alyssum white (Lobularia maritima)

2g pure seed (no added vermiculite/coatings – approx 7400 seeds)


This beautiful flower is a low spreading annual, so therefore suitable for borders and beds, hanging baskets and containers.

Sow Feb – March. Flower’s  June – September.

Lobularia Maritima is a relatively hardy annual and can survive temperatures down to -5.

Likes full sun and is happy in sheltered or exposed conditions.  Height – up to 10cm. Spread – 0.5 – 0.5m.

Remove dead flowers to encourage further flowering and at the end of the season cut back, after flowering, to promote following year’s growth.



Alyssum Rose - Lobularia maritima

  • Ensure your chosen site is free of weeds. Rake to a fine tilth and sow by hand evenly by sowing half of the seed lengthways and the other half widthways. Rake again lightly and gently firm the soil. Protect from birds if necessary and water when required but be careful not to over water.
